Dane Libart, LCSW
Online Video Psychotherapy for Adults in Oklahoma
Hi, I'm Dane Libart, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I support adults with life's challenges, helping you get your life back on track and stop feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed.
My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
My personal struggles help me relate deeply to my clients. Over three decades ago, my wife yelled, "If you don't get therapy, our marriage is over." This marked the beginning of my healing journey. Therapy changed my life. I discovered a passion for helping others change theirs too. I became a licensed clinical social worker, and now, working with individuals, couples, and groups is my passion.
Our Sessions Focus on You
In our sessions, it's all about you. You talk, I listen. I'll ask questions to build a mental picture of what you're describing. I want to understand you and your environment. When you feel safe and we begin to understand each other, healing can happen.
My Professional Background
I received my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I've spent years in private practice psychotherapy settings helping people in difficult situations. I've also worked with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). I became passionate about supporting families and individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. I facilitated family support groups, served as NAMI's board President, and later joined the Orange County Health Care Agency to create a family advocacy program. This program received the Orange County Mental Health Association's highest honor, The Thomas F. Riley Community Service Award. I've also served as President of the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
