OKC Healing Circle

Welcome

You don't have to carry it alone.

Whether you're navigating grief, loss, a difficult diagnosis, a life transition, or simply the quiet weight of something you can't quite name — there is a place for you here.

Healing Circles are small, safe gatherings where people come together to be heard, to breathe, and to find their way through — together.

What Is a Healing Circle?

A Healing Circle is a structured yet gentle space where participants sit together — in person or virtually — and share what they're carrying in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Circles are guided by a trained facilitator and grounded in principles of deep listening, compassion, and respect. There is no agenda to fix or advise — only to witness and to hold space.

Each circle typically includes:

  • A grounding opening (breath, silence, or a brief reading)
  • Open sharing time — speak only if and when you feel ready
  • Reflective listening from the group
  • A gentle closing

You are never required to share. Simply being present is enough.

What to Expect

Healing Circles are not therapy, and they are not support groups in the traditional sense. They are something quieter — a regular gathering of people who understand that healing doesn't happen on a schedule, and that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is sit together.

You can expect:

  • A small group (usually 6–12 people)
  • A confidential, respectful environment
  • A trained, compassionate facilitator
  • No pressure to share — ever
  • A consistent rhythm — same time, same space, each week

What you bring is welcome here. What you're not ready to say is also welcome here.

Why People Come

People find their way to Healing Circles for many reasons:

  • The loss of someone they loved
  • A health diagnosis — their own or a loved one's
  • The end of a relationship or a chapter of life
  • Anxiety, burnout, or a sense of being overwhelmed
  • The quiet grief of things that never happened
  • The longing to be truly heard — not fixed, just heard
  • And sometimes… because they need a friend

You don't need a reason that feels "big enough." If something in you is calling you here, that's reason enough.

Facilitator and Our Agreements

Dane Libart LCSW a (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) has spent more than thirty years sitting in circles where truth is spoken softly and healing rises in its own time. His journey began in the mythopoetic men’s movement of the 1990s, where he first witnessed the quiet transformation that happens when people gather with intention, courage, and an open heart.

Those early circles taught him that healing is not a destination — it’s a rhythm, a remembering, a return. They showed him that when we are witnessed with compassion, something inside us loosens, softens, and begins to breathe again.

Dane earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 1991, and his work ever since has been rooted in presence, deep listening, and the belief that every person carries an inner wisdom waiting to be heard. His role is not to direct or fix, but to hold a space where your own truth can rise to the surface.

He approaches each circle with steadiness, warmth, and the understanding that healing unfolds most naturally in community — in the simple, ancient act of gathering together.

 Agreements that guide our Circle

· We treat each other with kindness and respect.

· We listen with compassion and curiosity.

· We honor each other’s unique ways to healing and don't presume to advise, fix, or save one another.

· We hold all stories shared in the circle confidential.

· We trust that each of us has the guidance we need within us, and we rely on the power of silence to access it.
